Fresh back from the BEA conference!

Whew! I feel a little bit more than a little bit like that guy over there. Notice how the polar bear is propped up on the balls of his feet? I have that going on. The heels of my feet desperately want to defect to a much more stationary individual.

But! All achy body, super exhausted whining aside, what an absolutely incredible weekend BEA was! I met up with coworkers from the past, clients, people I hope to work with in the future, Diary of an Eccentric, Savvy Verse and Wit, Booking Mama, Stephanie's Written Word, Book Club Girl, Beth Fish Reads, Maw Books, My Friend Amy, She Is Too Fond of Books, The Tome Traveller, Bermuda Onion, Everyday I Write the Book, and Mother Reader. If I missed naming someone, please let me know! I was so excited to meet everyone that I tried to write some quick notes to make sure I didn't miss mentioning anyone, but it may have inadvertently happened.

As promised, I picked up lots of schwag, books, bags and baubles, so keep an eye on my blog for the upcoming giveaways! I want to make certain everyone feels a little BEA love. ;-) Of course, it was all too much to carry and I had to have them shipped, so I'm not certain how long they will take to arrive.

But for now, I will be getting caught up on my RSS feed reader, commenting like crazy, and finding out what you all have been up to. I've missed the online world during my little hiatus and I'm happy to be back!

So what should my first giveaway be? A YA book, a tote bag, a fancy puzzle book, a mouse pad, fantasy book, general fiction...

It was nice meeting you too - I think the panel almost freeked out like little girls seeing their favorite movie star when you introduced yourself!!

Stephanie: That is so sweet of you to say! I could barely sit still in my seat, I was so excited to see and hear from you all! The room was full of book loving, very eager and respectful sort of people, and I just loved every minute of it.

I so wish I hadn't missed the Tweetup so I could have chatted with everyone more, but I had the worst headache! Maybe we'll have another blogger meetup soon. ;-)

I've been whining about my aching back, legs & feet to my hubby since Friday. Never had so much fun but been so exhausted at the same time!

Fantastic to meet you, even if it was brief! Love your pamphlet & bookmark, they look great. I hope we can plan a blogger get together sometime so we will all have time to visit. :)

I'm so glad you had a great time! I spent my Friday evening at the BEATwittyParty and I think I'm still recovering! We had a good time. It was nearly impossible to keep up with the posts in that chat room, they moved so quickly. Lots of people attended and I think we had far too much fun to pout. :)

But, we were still envious . . .

sounds like you had a great time! I say give away a tote first - that's what I'D love to win. :)

Carey: Thank you for the compliment! I just had the idea. It was my designer friend who made it come to life!

I'm thinking of putting up a big map, sticking pins in it where everyone lives, and finding a central place for us all to meet up! What do you think?

Bookfool: You were definitely at BEA in spirit! I mentioned you several times, Simon thinks you're a 'doll', and many of the books I came across made me think of you! ;-)

Heather J.: Tote bag it is! I just need that box of goodies to show up, now. I'm so anxious to give stuff away!

So glad to hear you had a good time at BEA! I'm so envious of everyone who got to attend - I've already started planning for 2010 :)

I hear that galleys were hard to come by this year...did you find that to be true?

TexasRed: I am dying to rent a giant RV and go a travelin', just to meet bloggers and visit some of the bookstores from the Spotlight on Bookstores series that Dawn hosts: http://www.sheistoofondofbooks.com/

Joanne: There are so many book fairs to attend all year round! I'm thinking of going to Bouchercon, the big mystery fan convention, in Indiana this year.

Sam: Galley's weren't nonexistent, but there was definitely a lot more 'look, don't touch' this year than in past years.
