Screw Cupid: The Sassy Girl's Guide to Picking Up Hot Guys
by Samantha Scholfield
Publisher:
The Experiment
ISBN: 978-1615190003
Paperback, 240 pages, September 2009

Description: Screw Cupid is a dating manual for every woman ready to take her dating life into her own hands. Samantha Scholfield has many years of dating experience, and she developed and refined the techniques and strategies that she reveals here via hard-earned trial and error, consulting and collaborating intensively with hundreds of other women (and many men), and by marshalling the best of the extensive pickup advice that already circulates among men.

The result: perfectly calibrated guidance on initiating a conversation—anytime, anywhere—and getting right to a date, all without the guy knowing he’s being picked up.

Scholfield's book will have you alternately laughing out loud and taking notes. Her techniques are accessible, fun, and work in any situation!

Limited copies available, so email me now to secure yours: onlinepublicist [at] gmail [dot] com. I am looking for reviews to post the final week of August, first week of September.

Happy reading! :-)

Guest Post on 451 Fridays!

Elizabeth, over at As Usual, I Need More Bookshelves, was kind enough to offer me a guest spot on her blog for her 451 Fridays series. If you're interested in reading what 5 books I would save if the world began burning them, check it out here.

I look forward to your thoughts on my list!

Wordless Wednesday: Elvis is alive and well, folks...

and hanging out at BEA!

He was promoting a Where's Waldo type book called Where's Elvis? And I have to say, if you're up for a challenge, pick this book up because I could not find Elvis. Apart from the one standing next to me, of course! ;-)

Fresh back from the BEA conference!

Whew! I feel a little bit more than a little bit like that guy over there. Notice how the polar bear is propped up on the balls of his feet? I have that going on. The heels of my feet desperately want to defect to a much more stationary individual.

But! All achy body, super exhausted whining aside, what an absolutely incredible weekend BEA was! I met up with coworkers from the past, clients, people I hope to work with in the future, Diary of an Eccentric, Savvy Verse and Wit, Booking Mama, Stephanie's Written Word, Book Club Girl, Beth Fish Reads, Maw Books, My Friend Amy, She Is Too Fond of Books, The Tome Traveller, Bermuda Onion, Everyday I Write the Book, and Mother Reader. If I missed naming someone, please let me know! I was so excited to meet everyone that I tried to write some quick notes to make sure I didn't miss mentioning anyone, but it may have inadvertently happened.

As promised, I picked up lots of schwag, books, bags and baubles, so keep an eye on my blog for the upcoming giveaways! I want to make certain everyone feels a little BEA love. ;-) Of course, it was all too much to carry and I had to have them shipped, so I'm not certain how long they will take to arrive.

But for now, I will be getting caught up on my RSS feed reader, commenting like crazy, and finding out what you all have been up to. I've missed the online world during my little hiatus and I'm happy to be back!

So what should my first giveaway be? A YA book, a tote bag, a fancy puzzle book, a mouse pad, fantasy book, general fiction...
